Athens PBJ
Athens PBJ is focused on building relationships with the homeless downtown and shining God’s love by being invested in lives. SOUL provides the PBJ’s once a month, so this SOUL Squad will put them together and go downtown to pass them out (socially-distanced this year!). (Sundays from 2:00pm-3:00pm)
Arbor Terrace
Arbor Terrace is an assisted living home in Athens. Our service with them will be more virtual-based. This may include zoom calls, a pen pal system, drive-bys, and other socially-distanced service opportunities. (Varied weekday afternoons)
Boys and girls club
Our NEW SOUL squad! We will be partnering with the Boys and Girls Club here in Athens! The Boys and Girls Club of Athens provides a safe, positive environment for students to have fun and get their school work done. This year our SOUL squad will act as tutors/mentors for students ages 6-18. We will assist students through zoom (eventually in person) with their virtual learning and school work (varied weekday afternoons). Throughout the year, we will also plan fun activities for the kids
Sparrow’s Nest ***FULL***
Sparrow’s Nest is a homeless ministry/shelter here in Athens. Each week, we will pour into the community and get to know them through socially-distanced activities and other creative avenues!! Once a month we will serve a meal to our friends here. (Varied weekday afternoons)
